We founded InstaViser as a way to help people achieve their dreams by connecting them with the right people to help get them there.

Peter Cipollone, co-founder | product

Professionally, I have seventeen years’ experience in team leadership, product management and software development, from time at Dow Jones, Factiva, Inform Technologies, and more. At Factiva, I led a global 30-person team, and was awarded two US patents in search relevance ranking.

In sports, my proudest achievement was being part of the 2004 Olympic eight-oared crew. We set the world record and won Olympic gold in Athens after a 40-year drought in the event. I competed in 2000 Sydney Olympics, was a coach in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and am a four-time world rowing champion. Since “retiring,” I have stayed involved by mentoring aspiring athletes, and as a director of the United States Rowing Association, where I was chairman in 2012 and 2013.

I have a bachelor’s degree in economics from Berkeley. And while I live in San Francisco, I am a die-hard fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.

I’ve been a proud team member with InstaViser since 2014. Prior to joining InstaViser, I worked for ESPN for five years in the Content Production and Programming Department.

I picked up rowing post college after Googling the sport. I am a 2016 United States Olympian, World Championship silver medalist and five-time USRowing National Team member. I have also proudly served as a member of the USRowing Board of Directors since 2013.

I attended the University of Virginia where I was a two-sport varsity athlete playing volleyball and softball while earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Religious Studies in 2007. I went on to receive my Master’s Degree in Social Foundations and Policy from UVA in 2008.

I grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and am a big Saints, LSU, and UVA sports fan.

kyle tress, Software Development | User Experience

I am a senior Ruby on Rails developer and UI/UX designer. Prior to working for InstaViser, I worked as a technology consultant at Capitol Health Systems in New Jersey. In 2008, I cofounded the mobile development studio A Tiny Tribe which specialized in iOS development. I have also been a freelance full-stack web developer for nearly two decades.

I am a 2014 Olympian in the sport of skeleton. I am a 2-time World Championship team member, a 3-time National Championship Bronze Medalist, and a 3-time USABS Athlete's Choice Award Winner.

I'm from Lambertville, NJ and live and train in Lake Placid, NY. I'm a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Michael colella, customer success manager

In 2016, I graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations with a specific focus on Organizational Behavior and Business. I was a four year member of the D1 Heavyweight Rowing team and was lucky enough to serve as captain my senior year.
I am a two-time USRowing National Team member and am working towards the 2020 Olympic Games. Throughout my athletic and academic experiences, I have witnessed the dramatic effect mentors play in impacting an individual’s trajectory. Joining the InstaViser team was the natural choice in turning my passions into a career.

Josh Getz, Customer success manager

My prior professional experience lies in energy and aviation where I worked for Chesapeake Energy as a measurement engineer, and GE Aviation in quality control. I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2013 with a degree in mechanical engineering, Magna Cum Laude.

I’m currently training as a lightweight rower for the 2016 Olympics. I’ve made two United States National Teams competing at the 2013 and 2014 World Championships in the Men’s Lightweight 8+. My rowing career began in college at the University of Michigan and rowing is what ended up bringing me to InstaViser.

I started bobsledding in 2007, after playing professional softball for a year and failing to make the 2008 Olympic softball team. I was a brakeman for 3 seasons and won a bronze medal in the 2010 Winter Olympics before converting to a pilot. In 2014, I won a silver medal in the 2014 Winter Olympics. In 2015, I became the first U.S. woman to win a World Championship in women’s bobsled and the first woman to make the U.S. team as a 4man pilot. I also currently serve on the Board of Directors for USA Bobsled and Skeleton.

I graduated from the George Washington University with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and Master’s in Sports Administration. I then graduated from Keller Graduate School of DeVry with an MBA in finance. I have a passion for helping athletes reach their goals and dreams, which is what led me to InstaViser.

I am married to Nicholas Taylor, also a bobsledder.

Logan Clements, Marketing and Content Manager

I have worked in social media and digital marketing for three years, primarily promoting sports leagues and teams. In addition to the work I do with InstaViser, I am the founder of Logan Strategy Group, a one woman concierge company dedicated to helping companies, universities, and athletic teams navigate the market in Asia. I've worked with clients like the Pac-12 Conference, NFL China, and idMASK.

Athletically, I was an NCAA Division I javelin and hammer thrower at the University of Virginia. I’m currently the first female to play tackle American football in China in a men's league, playing wide receiver.

Originally from Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, I’m an avid Philadelphia and Virginia sports fan. I’m fluent in Mandarin Chinese and have lived in Shanghai, China since 2014.
